Hi :) Oh the handmade market whirlwind has commenced for us...but I wanted to share a few things that are making me happy. Like this picture: Yarn wrapped hello I made + thrifted vintage cross stitch of daisies ( "Aren't they just the loveliest flower?" one of my favorite quotes from You've Got Mail ;) + thrifted Jane Austin book in the loveliest green + vintage gold frame = Oh yes please.
February was such a good good month. I mean the good was really pretty awesome. We celebrated my grandmother's 95th birthday. She was actually born on a leap year so she's really like a hot 23 year old :) I love her so much. We've been visiting her more and I am so thankful that even though she doesn't remember my name she remembers I am family. I've wanted to be like her since I was little because she was always really playful and an adult which was such a fun combination. A lot of adults are always so serious but not my grandma. She writes poems and talks to her flower garden, feeds stray animals as if they were her own and loves to laugh...she's magic. I can't even tell you how blessed I am to call her grandma :) Even more that we all get to visit her as a family.
This month i took on a new adventure: real flower gardening. I have such a knack for killing flowers. It's quite sad really. But I couldn't say no to these beauties: ranunculus XOXO I walked down the aisle with a bouquet of white ranunculus and it was so gorgeous. So thanks to Mr Handsome we are now the proud owners of this little flower pot I put together. It greets us as we come home each day :)
As you can see I can't stop grabbing a few from the garden and taking pictures of them :)
I am working on a few things for the shop but most importantly our next market date: Makers Arcade in North Park San Diego XOXO It's going to be our first time selling at this event and if the show is anything like the holiday one I attended in December it's going to be a blast! The best part is that they create an awesome space to shop + eat + drink + chill. Hands down my sister and I had a great time and I hope to see you if you are local!
I will be debuting new shop prints + die cuts + stamps with awesome deals. I'm starting to love these shows more and more because I get to actually meet you guys. It's so nerve racking putting yourself out there and I get pretty shy about it. But this event is something I'm really excited about and I hope you don't miss it!
love,
-Debee
