A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me through Inspire Lovely. Five years ago this December, I was struggling to find a job that really made me happy. With the help of Mr. Handsome and a lot of faith, we bought our business license and I had the job of my dreams creating stuff I love. The shop grew to what it is today after countless hours of making things for you. I never thought I would still be making pretty things but I'm so happy that I still get to make stuff and share it with you XO.   SO thank you thank you thank you a million times over.

you have blessed me in the most wonderful way

Hello friend, happy Fall !

So happy to be back here sharing some new news and pretty pictures :) Fiiinalllllllly ! (right?! ;)
I've been working... with succulents that is. For over a year I've been sharing my succulent garden adventures via IG with the hashtag #succulentsunday. It's really helped keep my garden green and thriving. I haven't neglected the succulents at all :) (unlike the blog, ahem ... )

So this fall I started using succulent cuttings from the garden to create these pretty succulent crowned pumpkins. I gave a few to family and friends but the intention was to give to people I've not given anything to. Ever. So I gave one to my new yoga teacher. I'm fairly new to yoga so this was so fun to finally show my appreciation in true Debee form. lol!

Pretty much anyone who knows me knows I LOVE succulents and have a large garden full of them. It's my mom's doing. I've slowly become my mother ; /  But hey, I'm super thankful for the green thumb. And the therapy that its provided throughout my health journey.

And you know what? I even went out of my comfort zone and sold a few locally through Instagram. (this is a picture of my first batch) This deserves a scared face emoji right there. Because working from home, having an online shop really doesn't give you lots of opportunities to actually "meet" anyone. Well, I did meet a few succulent loving people and that was altogether scary and nerve racking in a fun kind of way.

Literally handing these beauties over with a smile was SO heartwarming.  Giving of my time and talent was refreshing. Also, a thorough background check was made ( just kidding! wink wink) I mean these are my babies after all. ALL from my garden! And now in new homes... I miss them :)

Look at that cuteness right there. That mini pumpkin is as cute as say a smiling dog am i right? If not cuter? Okay a tie. But I love both those things so much and maaaaybe succulents more right now. Sorry dogs! lol!

It's even nicer getting orders from friends to give to friends. XOXO

The best part is....
I'm teaching a class locally with my friend Michelle from Polkadot Whimsy. The class is hands on and you'll be making a beautiful succulent crowned pumpkin with my help of course ;) You can purchase a ticket here.

The Pumpkin Succulent Workshop will include a medium ( 8 inch) pumpkin with all the succulent cuttings and everything you need to put a beautiful crown on your pumpkin PLUS snack and drinks. Um. yes and yes. I love crafts and snacks and succulents. This trio is a dream come true :)

Aren't they show stoppers?! Imagine this on your table?! I'm decorating my table ( and every table in our house) with succulents and pumpkins as the centerpiece at this year's Thanksgiving table. Move over turkey! Just kidding! I'll have a side of turkey with a big ol succulent pumpkin pretty please :)

I made sure to pick amazing pumpkins in a variety of colors for this class... look at this peachy goodness. You beautiful thing XOXO

Please say you'll come! I'm so happy to get out there and teach again. I'm working on swag bags for the class and I'm definitely making some fun exclusive items just for you. See you at the workshop November 12th from 11-1pm!

Write it down... make it happen

I love when new product hits the shop.  A goal of mine for the last 2 years has been to design new exclusive product for Inspire Lovely and thankfully this goal has been reachable. It's taken a bit more work & time but so worth it! Meet our new floral line of Notepads XOXO

When I designed these I wanted to continue with a little pick me up message along the bottom of the notepad, "Have a lovely day" seemed appropriate :)

I especially love this one, " You Are Beautiful" you are!

And this one, "Enjoy the little things" I'll confess, sometimes grocery shopping isn't my favorite... it's  lot of things like I get hungry lol! Or grocery shopping with little R has to be quick and I like taking my time :) So I guess I made this to remind myself to enjoy it and not over think it :)

And a fun floral notepad "TO GET DONE" the prettiest list right?  Hopefully a pretty reminder to get all the things you need to get done done already.

My NEW Favorite! This desk notepad is HUGE! ( 9.75 x 6.75 inches) I've been using it and love to tear off a sheet and fold it to take with me for on the go note taking. I LOVE it! Sometimes you just need extra space for your awesome ideas ;)
Here's mine at the beginning of the week with new set of exclusive stickers I designed! This week all notepads ship with a set of new stickers for FREE!

Here's the Deal: We're making room for new items, enjoy 20% off this week! +++

Stock up on craft supplies! We're having a big sale all week! Over 60 + stamps are already discounted. Plus, enjoy an extra 20% off Use coupon code LOVELY20. And get free shipping on all orders over $60. Pretty much the best deal we've ever had XO

ps: I'll be giving away a few of the notepads away this month right here every monday ;)

Have fun!

Easter Blooms

Hi everyone! This month has sure flown by! I was putting the finishing touches on new designs and checked the calendar only to discover that over half the month is over and this weekend is my wedding anniversary :) SO how's your spring looking? Ours started off with some yummy Easter treats and family time.  I made this succulent centerpiece and decorated the table with vintage napkins & doily runner.  Yellow and green XOXO love love it. I tied the napkins with twine and tags stamped with "Blessings & Love" from the shop. Clean and simple :)

Easter at our house included an easter egg hunt and candies everywhere. Probably too many candies ;) I made cute bunny bags using the cloth canvas bags in the shop & a sticker heart for the cute nose. Too bad I couldn't send out candies to customers, we had so much candy lol!

Little R and I had fun coloring eggs for the very first time this year. I didn't grow up celebrating Easter with eggs and bunnies but I couldn't help it, we had fun and drawing/painting with my little guy is my favorite thing.  So we painted a few eggs and this is what they looked like :)

Little R made the blue egg with R's on them and mama made all the pink ones lol!

Then we made and decorated sugar cookies. If i teach rafael anything in life is celebrating every occasion with cookies and craft time :) Look at those little hands! He's not so little anymore :(

Man these four years have flown by...My one and only baby... or big boy rather. I always ask him if I can hold him like a baby and sometimes he says yes. All 50 lbs of him. Guys he's 4 ft already?!?! I'm like NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stop growing!!! hahaa.. Our time is flying by, I hope I'm making the best out of the time I have. I've been seeing different doctors to figure out why I have pain in my hands and feet. Thankfully I've been doing yoga and it's been helping. But no clear answers and no real comfort from the pain. I've been referred to acupuncture therapy and still on the fence as to whether thats helping. I'm just praying through it and reminding myself to stay positive. It's not easy, I wonder how much longer I have to wait to be pain free. But focusing on being Thankful refocuses me on what is important. I'm blessed with my little family and grateful for life with them. This is one blessed mama XOXO

I was looking back at the posts this year and realized that I haven't shared my adventure in reorganizing our home. It's been a long process, back in January I joined a facebook group decluttering 30 bags in 30 days. It took me 2 months lol! But I was motivated to donate 36 bags of "stuff" from our home! And when I went through my craft boxes I discovered so many art projects I bought but never finished, like these paper flowers from Paper Source from about 6 years ago. I almost donated the supplies but I kept them and thankfully found time after Little R fell asleep to make them! yay!

And I found some extra large flower packs lol! I finished these during lunch break :)

Back at work, I'm loving these new large butterfly stickers. They're perfect for spring! I included a few in every order :)

And my next stamp project was inspired by my love of succulents. Here's a few I bought on sale at Home Depot a few weeks ago.  I'll show you what I did with them later :)

For now I'll show you the illustration I created for new custom stamps available in the shop.  This is a burro succulent in a cute heart planter. I added some watercolor paint and I love it. This week only this stamp is for sale $20 (regular price $25). I think its the perfect gift for any succulent lover XO. Just in time for mother's day :)  How fun right? I am giving a custom stamp away on IG and hope to give one away here once I get my new notepads in my hands. Giving free product is really exciting :) Happy spring lovelies!

A spring Baby Shower

Spring is here! Yay! I'm really loving this season and all it's pretty colors! Back in my teenage years you would never ever hear me saying i LOVED pink and pastels ;) But yes! I'm that same girl and give me all the pink and pastel colors! The moment I found out my sister Sara was expecting a beautiful baby I just knew I had to throw her a beautiful baby shower and guess which color palette i chose???
...

The prettiest aqua muffin pan + the softest pink fondant handmade by me ;) + the pretties purple green succulents in gold pots = Pastel Love

I knew that no matter the gender of the baby this color scheme would be perfect. The aqua muffin pan I got on sale at Anthro for my birthday and it's the prettiest thing in my kitchen lol!  I've yet to actually bake in it but it suited me well holding pretty handmade cupcakes topped with the softest cream icing. I even made super teeny tiny macaroons and boy was it worth it.  (I used this recipe for the macaroons). I also made sugar cookies using this recipe and topped it with fondant. I used these cute alphas to stamp the word BABY into the fondant. So cute!

My goodness when I laid eyes on that watercolor polka dot plate at target I literally hugged it. I know. I hug a lot of things at target. I often walk around the store with them and end up putting it back because we have a mortgage to pay lol! But these, these pretty die cut plates came home with me and I am SO happy they did. I LOVED serving these pretty little bakes I made to my sisters and mom. I know they felt extra special and it was SO worth it. My sister Sara has the cutest nickname and I wanted to tie that into the cookie favors. I found the prettiest bear shaped cookie cutter around Christmas time at Target. I think the Mama on the Bear is just perfect. Mama Bear XOXO My attempts to decorate with fondant are kind of sad. But that's just me attempting my first try at 2 am in the morning hahaa! It kind of looks like a rosette if you squint a little. :)

I couldn't help myself, you know there was going to be succulents right?
Right.
:)

I even made the loveliest garlands! I couldn't pick just one to make. I had the cutest gold polka dot on white burlap material, so I made a garland. I had the most delicate vintage crochet doilies, so I made a garland. I had the sweetest coral colored yarn, I made a tassel garland :)
During a trip to Jo-ann's I made the mistake of wandering into the fabric section and I came home with 6 different cuts of fabric, so you guessed it.... I made a garland. ha! To top it all off I used a few paper pinwheels from the shop and it was perfect.  I had several requests after posting this picture onto my IG account to buy the garlands so I made a few more available in the shop right here if you're interested.

We had such a lovely afternoon just chatting. All the girls in my family. Hanging out. Eating our faces off. Laughing. Eating. And more laughing. It was perfect. And I am so thankful for it. I know sometimes it's a bit redundant to do another baby shower for the second child but one thing I've learned this past year is that we celebrate the little things. And this little baby is something special. I finally got to hold my new little niece two weeks ago and I am so thankful that she was born. A perfect little miracle baby.  She is the humblest reminder that God keeps his promises. Even when we think he's forgotten. My heart is so full...I hope this spring brings you closer to your loved ones. Chatting around the table full of good food celebrating the little things.

Post Valentine blues XO

Growing up I was never a huge fan of Valentine's day. Now as a mama I'm tickled blue. :)
I recently started making sugar cookies using this awesome cookie recipe for "Perfect cut out cookies". Except I don't cover them with royal icing, I use fondant. I know. My mind has changed about fondant. I won't order a cake in it unless I make it or know who is making it lol! Oh but these are SO good!

Owning a packaging shop really has its advantages :) I went a little overboard with the packaging but that's to be expected. I used Mason jar tags + Valentine Tags + Red heart stickers + red twine + Red heart doilies XOXO
I even decorated a cheesy Valentine Chocolate box with these cuties. I Loved adding photos of Rafael as tags. Sometimes I misprint photos and I don't want to just toss them so this was the perfect way to use them up! And I love that glittery pink against the red heart sticker = perfect!

I rolled out white fondant and cut out hearts using the same cookie cutter. I asked rafael what color he wanted and he only wanted to use BLUE, I was thinking.... umm that's not the color scheme! But i just went with it because Blue makes him happy :) I mixed some edible blue ink color with clear vanilla and he painted the color on each white fondant heart. So cool. And now looking at all of the pictures that BLUE makes the rest of the colors pop right? (Stamp from the shop) A little bit of Rafael and a little bit of mama XOXO

My fav photo of him  XO So adorable. I even taught him to ask "Will you be my Valentine?" To his grandma + aunts = super charming. I keep forgetting to record him and his little sweet voice asking - mental note! lol! Oh this year Valentines Day was pretty sweet & awesome. I can't wait for him to start school and we can make these for his little class mates. :)

I hope you're having a beautiful month of love. How crazy that it's almost over though. I'm planning my next craft party and hope to share some easter & mothers day love soon.

happy friday!

ps: What kind of crafty things are you making?
