home and art...perfect

bringing you up to date with home stuffs:
So handsome and I put an offer in a couple of weeks ago on a condo we loved. We waited and heard nothing back. I finally checked the listing and it went pending (meaning the bank picked someone else) BOO. big time. But we kept praying. took time off from house hunting and chilled with our families.

SO last weekend (Saturday) handsome and I went house hunting again. We, along with our fabulous realtor and friend Liz, saw 6 condos. And we like all of them. BUT the last of the six was my fav. Newly remodeled kitchen (tons of white cabinets) granite counter tops, pretty tile, 3 beds 1.5 baths, microwave, fridge, washer & dryer included. bonus. But this time I didn't get my hopes up. Earlier that same day I read in my devotions this thought:
Any "NO" an earnestly seeking child of God receives from the throne is for the sake of a greater "YES."
Father, help me to remember in my impatience that the end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Help me to remember and understand that sometimes You lead me on certain paths to humble me also, to see what is in my heart. Purify my heart, Lord, so that I will be patient in the waiting times, and so that You will take joy in what You find.

waiting. so not my thing. I'm more like, what can I do to move things along...kinda gal.

Well, this time I let go.

I was at H&M yesterday just looking around when Liz called and asked me if I had been praying really hard. I was like YES! And she asked for what? I said for the 6th condo we had seen. She then said, "Well your prayers were answered!!!! You got the house!"
I kid you not. My reaction: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. I was the crazy girl in the store. That was me. No shame. Because dude. We are blessed. Completely. I haven't let it sink in. Not until I sign stuff. But I can tell you this, there is a HUGE sense of peace now. We are rockin' and rollin'. Wedding is coming up. And I am getting my dress tailored today. My bridal showers are in the next couple of weeks. And I bought this Anthro dress to show off my happiness.

Happy happy times indeed.

So let me share some art that makes me happy: (all Kenner Road Layouts)

This little blog...

Just received a special honor. I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy :)
Thank you to you lovely ladies for coming back showing support and sending some cyber hugs my way. I really thought this little blog would just die out but somehow, it is still alive, the creativity keeps flowing so I keep on posting. And making new friends along the way is always a happy smile on my face see ---- > :)

Besame

So let's celebrate shall we? Here's a project I've been holding onto for a while. It was for a challenge blog but it never made it last year. So it's time to share and teach you how to make this clear layout pouch.

YES! Clear. Layout. AND pouch.
How you might ask?
Easy peasy sweetie. This project uses something you already throw out. Yep. The clear pouch is simply using the cellophane that most of our scrap supplies already come packaged in. I hope this doesn't sound too crazy LOL!

besame (detail)

Here's pretty much how I put mine together:
- I printed my picture & journaling on transparency sheet. (follow instructions on your package)
- Add paint and rub-ons to the back side of the transparency. (Remember to print and cut your picture to fit inside the cellophane pouch.)
- Then add in a couple of things you love: chipboard heart, sequins & glitter. Close the package either using the adhesive on the cellophane pouch or double sided tape to close the contents safely inside.
- For added coolness I sewed the transparency sheet edges of the pouch.
-I added the little hanger with a brad to hang as decorative home decor in my studio.
And there you go. Have fun adding lots of things that make you happy. I love looking at mine. And it pretty much is something you can easily display anywhere or whip one up in no time to give as a gift.

Seeking expression

ps: Creative Therapy is rockin' this week with new design team members. Be sure to check the girls out. Here is my work for this week. I've been working on this shell stitch blanket for over 2 and a half weeks. 6 skeins later and it's done : ) It first started off as a scarf for my mom, but when I took it to my class to show my teacher, she said it would be best as a blanket (because of the stitch) so now my new project is a scarf for my mom. And now I have something to snuggle under *sigh*. It feels good to see this complete. cool cool. And the embroidery, well, just fiddling around. Still waiting to see if we have a house, waiting is SO not a thing I do patiently. LOL. Wedding plans continue, and so does the chaos. For now, enjoy your week one day at a time.

put it down

mister kisses

the thoughts.
the stress
the fear
it's going to be okay.
:)

Handsome and I are crazy.
He more than i of course ;p

We went house hunting this past weekend. We are counting down the days to our wedding. And earnestly searching for a place to call home. Realizing that time was of the essence we put an offer in. And so now the waiting continues. Hoping. Praying. Searching. More Waiting. And continuing to search for a place to call our HOME. It's been good to sit and crochet. Keeps my thoughts from consuming me. If you can, please pray for us as we continue to look. To seek and find peace during this time. Not so much for a building with a rooftop. Not because it has a certain amount of square footage. Or just because we want to own something. None of those things appeal right now. The place we search for is, we hope, a place where we can welcome everyone. Fellowship and enjoy a long chat. Simply love on them. A place where we encourage you to share your thoughts. Take away the stress. Walk in without fear. And know that there, in that place...where ever it might be, whatever it ends up looking like. That's the place where you know everything is going to be okay.

lay your head down
enjoy the peace
and rest.

waiting for this.
with all my heart
thanks for listening
