goodbye 29

hello 30 :)
Seems like this birthday crept up on me. I still feel 25. I don't think of myself as "older". I hope maybe a little "wiser". But definitely happier. 29 you've been a pleasure. I'm sad to close this chapter (marriage, love, Mr. Handsome) but I'm ready to go onto the next. I anticipate many more happy memorable moments. He's the best pre-birthday party date ever.

Pre-birthday celebrations started with this little guy:
birthday present 09

I haven't shot film with one of these since college! Yikes. I got nervous all over again :) I LOVE this camera. I can't wait to share new prints from this little guy. I had once mentioned to Mr. Handsome (at Urban Outfitters) how cute and cool these cameras were. How we'd never be able to afford one. How it's expensive. How they take the coolest pictures. How much fun i had shooting with one of these back in the day. I put the camera back and that was the end of that. Mr. Handsome loves to surprise. :) He got me good.

Next: He took me to see my FAVORITE of all time group The Gipsy Kings. Hayayaay! I am not much of a dancer but my heart could not stop dancing and I could not stop smiling all night :) Wow! Even still. WOW.

And just yesterday we both took the day off and we headed up to MOZZA (go figure lol) next a shopping trip to Anthropologie and last to potterybarn ( all things I really wanted to do to celebrate my birthday). 5 hours plus 300 miles later, we were home. Tired. But very happy after a day well lived and full of happy moments. And i hadn't taken ONE single picture! I asked Mr. Handsome for a pic and he was wonderful enough to pose for some sweet shots xoxo.

Silly us. I am totally head over heels for him. He puts up with my crazy. ALL.THE.TIME. LOL!
(pray for him)

To top it all off, i had the chance to make some art pages with KR's September kit. <3
Inspired by matisyahu's "for you" lyrics. Totally making me happy :)

And a page dedicated to Mr.Handsome and I staging our engagement for his mom's camera. I'm glad we did. I think this beginning part is just as important as every part of our relationship. I totally wish i had a picture of my parents during their engagement time.

Totally missing playing the drums. But Just another page with feelings and love for the drums. (head over to your local music store and hit some for me!)

Remember the crazy times you had when picking your hair style for your wedding? This is a page for mine. I had so much fun buying stuff on etsy and planning the hair style I felt best made my special day perfect. I LOVE my sweet sister in law Sara. She just worked her magic and voila! I think she's amazing xo. She made me feel pretty and happy.

And lastly, this page completely inspired by the amazing Sabrina W. Harrison.

Today, go treat yourself to something. Celebrate life. Move yourself to do something that makes you feel happy. I hope and pray you have an amazing week. Sing at the top of your lungs while driving in traffic. Get down and bust a move in your copy room. Or even treat yourself to some Starbucks love for me. :) Today . We celebrate!
with love and blessings,
xoxo

just changing things up.

I'm currently listening to MATISYAHU (For You)
(LOVE these lyrics!)

When you dance in the drizzle fizzle out
Fist out, blissed out, shout it loud
Through the clouds, oh and rock out
I can't stop now coz I move like the breeze
With ease and grace we stay laced
As we move through the space dancing on a blade
Of grass at twilight a firefly fly free through the night
I shine bright from the ground to the sky

<3 very much

back to my corner of the world to dance and rock out and shine out loud

feeling better?

I am.
I really am. I buckled down and committed to physical therapy once a week...and there is progress. Had to change therapists midway through. But I'm happy with the change. I like hope. I want to get better. Building back the muscles in my left arm. woo hoo! I promise to not overdo it. I don't want to end up looking like my governator...Arnold Terminator. :) wink wink. (ps: please take the time to stretch and step away from the computer every now and then! Srsly. I hope you do. This video is just crazy funny and healthy all in one.

My macbook needs help. Or maybe just a new battery. Whatever it is... it's making me a little crazy. ( I completely need my computer for work and when it starts going crazy, it makes me crazy... or just crazier lol.) So please be patient with me if I don't make it back here soon. And if I owe you an e-mail, I will e-mail you soon! In the mean time, back to the apple store we go. :(

So just sneaking in to share some Kenner Road art. But first. Let's cheer up and pretend we just bought a tall favorite something something from starbucks and a cute tasty little muffin with Zero calories. We are both wearing a cute something from Anthro we bought shamelessly. And we are both having a fabulous hair day. Oh you look fabulous! yes? Who's with me?

Sit. relax. enjoy some sweet eye candy.

oh.snap!

take your time

happy love

Cambodia Smiles

sweet. I feel better. thanks for following along. :)

I've got a birthday party to plan.
An HOA meeting to attend (our first one! I kinda feel like it's going to be just like the Gilmour Girls town hall meetings. All crazy and interesting :) I plan on having fun at least. lol)
An office to move
A computer to heal.
Some house painting to do.
Some exercises to do ( i really don't like running. but hey, gotta get this body moving. So woop-de-do)
And hopefully a nap in between :)
This week is going to be a great week. One day at a time.
Stay sweet.
loves,

I'm a bit crazy

;P And totally for Crazy Daisy. I think Jennifer and Kimberly are the rockinest chicks around. To be best friends AND take their love for scrapbooking and turn it into a cute scrapbooking kit club is really the sweetest thing you can share with a best friend. Not a lot of my closest friends scrapbook. I'm jealous :) Sometimes you just want someone to understand what rub-ons are and how they work and why you love them so much. I'm pleased to say Mr. Handsome knows. *smiles* ahhhhh. poor guy. lol

{Little Things}
Little Things

I had the pleasure of creating with their August Kit. And look at the sweet album! Oh I definitely am swooning over this little guy. I don't have pictures in it yet. I am going to stalk my sisters and take pictures of them to add to this little beauty. I took the rings that hold the pages together and undid the rings to separate and make 2 albums. The other I hope to work on something for my sister (whom doesn't scrapbook and thinks scrapbooking is handing me a bag full of photos and some jolee's embellishments.lol) and her family. For this I spray painted the side the butterfly was printed on. Let dry. Then applied rubons from the kit to the opposite side. SOSOSOSOSO easy.

{Happiness}
HAPPINESS

I'm very much in love with the color combo they picked for this kit. The blues, the oranges and the reds are very appealing. And that Jenni Bowlin Damask paper is very pretty. I felt so bad spray painting over it. But I think I love the bold black spray paint over it just as much. I'm a sucker for spray paint. I would say something like that :)

{STUFF}
STUFF
Know what else is driving me crazy? My art studio. Oh geez. Can I cram anymore into a small space? I think I can. And I have. My Stuff consists of: sewing, crochet, fine art, spray paints, papers, embellishments etc etc. stuff stuff stuff. I can't take it anymore. Once drawers start to fill up and not close, it's time to do something. So I'm taking it a drawer at a time and letting go of tons of stuff. It makes my heart happy to be giving this "stuff" away. And I don't think twice about it. I like it when my drawers close. hehee. ( My fav thing in this layout is the crochet flower in the kit. SO stinkin' cute. I want to learn to make some really bad.

{Be BraVe *!*}
Be BraVe *!*

Do you ever feel you are brave enough? I generally feel like I hesitate, over think and shy away from living a life without fear. Without regret. I have to constantly remind myself to be brave. Don't worry to much. I usually feel free and lighter when I am brave. Take the plunge and fly. Even if it means just falling with style (like my friends in Toy Story). I was driving by the park recently and I was attracted to the pretty kites in the sky. I LOVE kites. I used to have a Strawberry Shortcake one when I was younger. I decided then that I needed to make a kite so this is my little one. With a bold reminder to Be BraVe*!*

{Beauty is Everywhere}
Beauty is Everwhere
I don't think I've ever scrapbooked this picture before. It's seriously one of my favorites I took while in Santa Barbara a few years ago. Right before I sent my camera crashing to the ground. Yes. I'm clumsy. And Mr. handsome says it's quiet entertaining to watch too. But hey, at least I got this shot! The picture was too dark (because of the blacktop in the picture) so I cut around the butterfly and voila! The picture not only stood out more, but it looked brighter and bolder. I made a yo-yo flower out of the ribbon in the kit. Added a cute button and sparkly butterfly confetti and a splash of spray paint. It's like magic. Don't be afraid to cut around your subject in your photos. Give it a try :)

cool cool.
On my list for today... laundry (yay!), de-clutter art studio, make dinner (mmm... steak, creamy mashed potatoes and spring salad) learn to crochet pretty flowers (thank you youtube) and maybe shop for new jeans (how come my favs are always the ones to shrink!?)
Sending love to you on this beautiful Monday morning! And remember, get CRAZY!!!
It's now or never :)
xoxo

I'm happy.

yum

It must be the chocolate covered Oreo cookies I just made :) I blogged about it over here at Kenner Road
* If I could just know for a fact these would make it to all of you without melting I would send you over some! I would :) For now, Mr. Handsome is taking over the boxes. I sent some along to share with his super fun co-workers today. I had to call him and make sure everyone got one box each not just one oreo LOL! Because he is such a sweet crazy guy he would keep them all for himself. *I can sense him grin* right about now. ha. (he likes it)

Sharing is caring

My mom first made some for our wedding. And they were a hit! She covered over 500 cookies! Crazy good :P

KR Label (up close)

My studio/art space is coming together. still picking the right color aqua. It has to be perfect. I think I'm going for a lighter appeal. There is only one huge window in the studio. I just still miss my sky light. Oh with a passion. SO much light came in, it was so friendly. I used to sit under the window and count the birds that flew by. When it would rain, I would sit in silence gladly listening to the pretty rain drops tickle the sky light. And on the most beautiful full moons I would count the stars and stare up at the pretty pretty moon. I felt a peace. I felt quiet. I felt held. I cried. I prayed and talked my feelings out to the silence. I felt God listen. closer. I focused more. Wished and dreamed. I miss the sparkle of the night looking through my window. I'm following along with change. I am thankful for my little space. This picture is of the closet space turned into an art storage space. I'm slowly making it my own. Slowly looking up. Finding peace and I love it.

Studio 09

And just for fun, well, not really, I'm guest designing soon and needed a new head shot. Oh boy. Why do these always come out so funny looking? LOL! I really do like this shot because it's blurry.

Debee*

I guess that's just me.

ETA: I used this chocolate mold and purchased the chocolate bags from Michaels. One bag covers about 20 cookies. These cookies are super easy to make. Enjoy!
